A police dog that served for six years with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team died Wednesday from kidney failure. Winston, a 7-year-old yellow Labrador retriever, specialized in drug detection and earned the respect of police agencies throughout Douglas County and Oregon, sheriff’s Sgt.
