Extension spotlight: Small changes can do a lot to make favorite recipes healthier

We all have recipes we can’t live without. They may be old family recipes we grew up enjoying, or foods we just have to eat because they are so comforting. Unfortunately, many times our favorite recipes are the unhealthiest foods we eat. That leads us to wonder: How can I make this recipe a little healthier? Are there easy substitutions that would cut fat, sugar or calories, without making feel as if I’m not getting that great dish I was craving?
