ROSEBURG Farmers market adds pay option The Umpqua Valley Farmers Market board of directors has announced that eligible vendors will now be accepting electronic benefit transfer payments from customers through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefit program. Customers wishing to use their SNAP benefits, formerly the Food Stamp Program, can buy tokens from the manager’s booth at the center of the market. The tokens can then be used to purchase produce, bread, meat and poultry as well as vegetable seeds and starts at select market vendors.
