FERC extends public comment period for pipeline

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has extended the public comment period on a project that would extend a natural gas pipeline across Douglas County to an export terminal in Coos Bay. County residents will have until Oct. 29 to submit comments to the commission on the proposed Pacific Connector Gas Pipeline and Jordan Cove Energy Project terminal in Coos Bay. Along with extending the comment period, FERC will host two additional public meetings to discuss the project. The agency has not yet released the dates, times and locations of the meetings.
