PLEIN AIR RECEPTION — The Umpqua Plein Air competition will host a reception Friday night at the Umpqua Valley Arts Center. The competition features a style, en plein air, in which artists paint outdoors. The top three finishers will share $1,000 in prize money. The reception is from 5 to 7 p.m. inside the Umpqua Valley Arts Center, 1624 W. Harvard Ave., Roseburg.
