Every once in awhile I may use this space for a serious discussion because there are some things — not politics or politicians — you just can’t laugh off. Take a young man named Paul Corby, for example. According to news reports, the 23-year-old Corby was denied a heart transplant because he is autistic and medical officials at the University of Pennsylvania determined that autistic people would not be able to handle a heart transplant for various reasons, none of them true.
