While reading the lead article in The News-Review’s August 22 edition regarding the DeFazio/Robinson “scholarships,” I noticed my mind questioning what was truly contributed to the educational advancement of the recipients of said scholarships? It became pretty clear to me that U.S. Rep. Peter DeFazio gave $334,000 out of his own pocket, while Mr. Robinson actually gave whatever it cost to reproduce a quantity of CDs. Even then, some of the CDs were only “given at a reduced price.” This looks like an apples to watermelons comparison, given that it only costs me pennies to reproduce CDs that I share …
