ROSEBURG Woman loses eye to bottle rocket An illegal bottle rocket struck a 20-year-old Myrtle Creek woman in the left eye, leaving her completely blind in that eye, Roseburg police said. Joshua Scott Skiver, 21, shot off the bottle rocket outside a residence in the 1600 block of Winter Street last Wednesday evening, police said. The projectile struck Ashley Lynn Heidemann. Police Sgt. Aaron Dunbar said today the incident was not initially reported to police. Officers have been investigating it for the past two days, he said.
