MELROSE Man arrested after shot fired A Melrose man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly firing a shot toward two people who were helping a friend move and removing belongings from her cottage. Dean Lee Simpson, 69, was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Douglas County Jail on suspicion of menacing, recklessly endangering, pointing a firearm at another person and unlawful use of a weapon.
