Time has flown for Carol Bogedain since she became director of the Veterans Affairs Roseburg Healthcare System. “I tell you, one year goes really quickly,” she said last week. Over the past year, Bogedain has traveled throughout the vast area the Roseburg VA covers. The system includes the Roseburg VA Medical Center and clinics in Eugene, Brookings, North Bend and Crescent City, Calif. She’s met with veterans, congressional representatives and private hospital CEOs to discuss care for veterans.
