“Baby Blues” comic strip debuts in News-Review

A comic strip debuts in The News-Review today. It’s called “Baby Blues” and is created by Jerry Scott and Rick Kirkman. It replaces “Cul de Sac,” drawn by Richard Thompson, a comic that debuted in 2007 and has been part of the lineup in The News-Review since January 2009. Thompson has Parkinson’s disease and decided to retire and discontinue the strip. The last strip appeared Friday. Thompson had been named Cartoonist of the Year in 2011 by the National Cartoonists Society. “Baby Blues” is a family-oriented comic strip that typifies the trials and triumphs of modern parenting.
