An open house and community meeting is planned for 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Glide Fire Station, 18910 N. Umpqua Highway, Glide. Community members are encouraged to stop by to learn about the $2.5 million bond levy placed on the November ballot by the Glide Fire board of directors. The money is being requested to build a new fire station in the existing location and to build a substation near Whistler’s Park Road.
