Sustainable Living: Shedding light on the dark side of biochar

“I wanna see it painted black, black as night, black as coal.” The Rolling Stones, 1966 Black is my new favorite color. No, I haven’t become a goth. I want my soil to be black, black as night, black as charcoal. Even a casual observer knows dark soils grow plants better than tan or gray soils. Why? It’s the dead stuff in the soil.
