GLIDE — The Glide Rural Fire Protection District is trying for a third time in four years to win over skeptical voters. The district has proposed a $2.5 million bond to build a fire station, replacing one built in 1976. The bond would also pay for a substation to increase services in a portion of the district. Previous bond measures presented to Glide voters in 2008 and 2010 were narrowly defeated.
