A celebration took place last week that may have drawn little notice in the fall frenzy of football upsets, preparation for hunting season and the start of college classes. Oregon’s only drive-through exotic animal park, one of only a dozen in the nation, celebrated its 40th anniversary. The festivities took place right here in Douglas County — at Wildlife Safari in Winston.
