A state panel will consider next week whether to recommend the Roseburg Veterans Affairs Medical Center go on the National Register of Historic Places. If the Oregon State Advisory Committee on Historic Preservation approves the bid during a two-day meeting Oct. 11-12 in Oregon City, the 79-year-old hospital could join the Umpqua Valley Arts Center, formerly the Oregon State Soldiers’ Home, on the National Register.
