Winston groups raise funds for Douglas High grandstand

WINSTON — At tonight’s Douglas High School football game, spectators will get a better view of action on the field, thanks to a new set of lights financed by two Winston groups whose members also hope to replace the metal bleachers. The Winston Communities Convening Project, also known as the Grandstand Project, is a collaboration between the Winston Area Community Partnership and the Douglas High School Alumni Foundation.
