Editorial: Douglas County libraries and museums should collaborate, while remaining separate departments

Collaboration between Douglas County’s library system and its museum is a great idea. It makes sense to enrich the experience for those visiting the museum or any of the 11 branch libraries. But that doesn’t mean it’s necessary or desirable to merge the two systems. Enthusiasm and a quest for innovation are admirable traits, but it takes more than that to direct two departments as diverse as the county libraries and museum.
