POLICE LOG

Friday

Douglas County sheriff

3:37 p.m. — Theft from a vehicle in the 8000 block of North Highway 99, Roseburg.

5:07 a.m. — Noise compliant about commercial fans used by a winery in the 700 block of Curry Road, Garden Valley. A frost warning was in effect overnight.

7:55 a.m. — Complaint from earlier in the morning about winery fans in the 3400 block of Garden Valley Road.

8:17 a.m. — Report of thefts from students at Riddle Junior & Senior High School.

9:50 a.m. — Burglary in the 100 block of Motts Road, Tenmile. Two laptop computers, jewelry and other items were taken.

10:39 a.m. — Theft of a chain saw from an unlocked shed in the 400 block of Starbuck Lane, Myrtle Creek.

11:34 a.m. — Theft of gas from several vehicles in the 1400 block of Austin Road. Metal was also stolen.

1:47 p.m. — Theft from a vehicle in the 4600 block of Carnes Road.

1:50 p.m. — Theft of mail in the 600 and 700 blocks of Upper Cleveland Rapids Road, Garden Valley.

5:28 p.m. — Burglary from a shop in the 3600 block of Hooker Road.

6:32 p.m. — Someone drove into a portable basketball hoop in the 400 block of Char Street, Green.

7:13 p.m. — Theft of a four-wheeler from the 300 block of Club Avenue, Winchester.

Myrtle Creek Police

5:56 p.m. — Burglary to a home in the 1200 block of Ballard Court. A door was damaged.

Oregon State Police

9:01 a.m. — Report of a man shooting a deer from inside a blue pickup in the 900 block of Ventura Street, Roseburg.

Roseburg Police

11:05 a.m. — Theft from a business in the 100 block of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard. A videotape was offered to police.

2:47 p.m. — Theft of wallet from a shopping cart from a store in the 2500 block of Stewart Parkway. A videotape of the suspect vehicle and license plate was available.

4:31 p.m. — Report of a dog biting a 9-year-old girl in the 1300 block of Southeast Stephens Street.

5:21 p.m. — Theft of a chain saw and tools from a shed in the 3100 block of Rosemary Avenue.

6:18 p.m. — Theft from the 1800 block of Goetz Street.

8:49 p.m. — Theft of a vehicle from the 1400 block of Brown Avenue.

Sutherlin Police

9:54 a.m. — Report of a dog bite from earlier in the week in the 100 block of Camas Court. The dog was up to date on shots, but the caller said she learned the dog had a history of biting people.

6:11 p.m. — Burglary in the 600 block of West Central Avenue.

11:13 a.m. — Theft from a vehicle in the 100 block of Chief Miwaleta Lane.

Roseburg Police

8:31 a.m. — Theft of services. A man rode in a taxi from Eugene to Roseburg and then refused to pay the fare.

ACCIDENTS

Friday

Douglas County sheriff

8:20 a.m. — Hit-and-run to parked car in the 200 block of Harbor Drive, Riddle. The vehicle sustained extensive damage.

9:23 p.m. — Noninjury accident in the 75000 block of Highway 101, Winchester Bay. A vehicle struck an anvil outside a market.

Oregon State Police

1:25 p.m. — Noninjury accident on Interstate 5, near the Cabin Creek rest area north of Oakland. A vehicle rolled three times.

Roseburg Police

1:44 p.m. — Noninjury accident in the 2500 block of Stewart Parkway.

Sutherlin Police

2:36 p.m. — A Geo Metro went into a ditch in the area of Airway Avenue and South Comstock Road.

Douglas County sheriff

5:46 a.m. — A car landed upside down in a ditch in the area of Coos Bay Wagon and Flournoy Valley roads.

Jeffrey Michael Bell, 33, of Canyonville on suspicion of first-degree theft and methamphetamine possession.

Jeffrey Allen Muir, 39, of Canyonville on suspicion of first-degree theft and methamphetamine possession.

Dorian Alden Smith, 22, of Tenmile on suspicion of felony marijuana possession.

Myrtle Creek Police

John Andrew Chastain, 46, of Myrtle Creek, on suspicion of strangulation, harassment and fourth-degree assault.

Saturday

Oregon State Police

Alfredo Valentine Trojillo, 31 of Kent, Wash., on suspicion of methamphetamine possession, failure to carry or present a license and giving false information to police.

6:04 p.m. — Grass fire in the 1200 block of Booth Ranch Road, Myrtle Creek.

North County Fire & EMS

7:10 p.m. — Trash fire in the 300 block of Cedar Street, Yoncalla.

7:07 p.m. — Grass fire in the area of Flint Street and Templin Avenue.

5:53 a.m. — Fire in the area of Mosher Avenue and the railroad tracks.

9:41 a.m. — Grass fire in the 400 block of Southeast Stephens Street.

Tri City Fire Department

11:49 a.m. — Vehicle fire in the 200 block of Wecks Road.
