Douglas County Commissioner Joe Laurance was involved in a speeding incident a week ago in which a sheriff’s deputy pulled a gun on him after Laurance reportedly stopped his motorcycle nearly 7 miles after the deputy first spotted him and turned around. Laurance was subsequently cited for reckless driving, speeding and passing in a no-passing zone, said Lt. Chris Merrifield of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
