ROSEBURG: Campgrounds remain open; others close for winter  

ROSEBURG Campgrounds remain open; others close for winter Umpqua National Forest campgrounds are starting to close for the winter, but some will stay open through the fall and a handful stay open year-round. In the Diamond Lake Ranger District, Diamond Lake, Thielsen View, Poole Creek, East Lemolo, Bunker Hill, Inlet, Kelsay Valley and Howlock Mountain Horse Camp will stay open until Oct. 31. Toketee Lake campground will be open year-round. Clearwater Falls and Whitehorse Falls will be open until Nov. 15. The district’s phone number is 541-498-2531.
