DOUGLAS COUNTY Poster contest on safe families The Child Abuse Prevention Coalition is sponsoring a poster contest for youth ages 12 to 17. The theme is Safe and Together and entrants should design a poster that represents what a healthy family looks like to them or what makes them feel safe within their family. Prizes include $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place. The poster contest is part of the Battered Persons’ Advocacy’s observation of Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October.
