A campaign to make donating food to the needy as easy as possible is growing even faster than expected, according to the project’s coordinator, Karla Roady. The Roseburg Food Project will collect its trademark green shopping bags of donated food Saturday. The effort began in August with 11 neighborhood coordinators picking up bags filled with food from the front porches of 94 donors. The program has grown to 45 neighborhood coordinators, who this week will pick up green shopping bags filled by neighbors and co-workers over the past two months.
