ROSEBURG Attorney general candidate to speak The Republican nominee for Oregon attorney general, James Buchal, will speak Saturday evening in Roseburg. Buchal, a Portland attorney, will appear at 7 p.m. in the Ford Room at the Douglas County Library, 1409 Diamond Lake Blvd. Buchal worked for a Wall Street firm in New York City before moving to Oregon in 1991. Buchal faces Democrat Ellen Rosenblum in the Nov. 6 election. Rosenblum was appointed by Gov. John Kitzhaber to serve as attorney general through the end of the year, replacing John Kroger, who resigned early to become president of Reed College. …
