ROSEBURG Learn how to prevent diabetes Diabetes educators will share information about diabetes and how to prevent it 5:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 22 at Mercy’s Community Education Center. Diabetes educators Kary Piper and Carol Embertson will show attendees how to find out if they have pre-diabetes and what to do about it. Studies have shown many people with pre-diabetes can delay or prevent the disease by making lifestyle changes. Mercy community education sessions are free and open to the community.
