N-R section honors those in the military

The News-Review will honor veterans and those currently serving in the armed forces with a special section that will be part of the Nov. 11, Veterans Day, newspaper.

Stories about military service can be written in the first person or by people as a salute to a veteran or person on active-duty.

Stories can be up to 800 words and should include a photo or two of the honored veteran or soldier.

Email stories and photos to News-Review Features Editor Craig Reed at creed@nrtoday.com or bring stories and photos to Reed at The News-Review, 345 N.E. Winchester St., Roseburg.

Agencies, clubs and support groups that focus on veterans may also participate and submit articles about the services they provide.

Those articles should be no longer than 500 words and should be emailed to Reed.

All articles should be submitted to The News-Review by 5 p.m. Nov. 2.
