Douglas County has 26 fire districts. Most of them are fully staffed by volunteer firefighters, emergency medical technicians and board members. I have watched with dismay as several of our local fire districts have had problems with some of their patrons. I am sure that most of the fire districts have some of the same issues and problems that Glide Rural Fire Protection District has.
