League of Women Voters shines light on ballot measures

Several members of the League of Women Voters of the Umpqua Valley wore T-shirts Thursday emblazoned with the words, “Democracy is not a spectator sport.” True to the message, eight women gathered at the Douglas County Library in Roseburg to go over the nine statewide measures on the Nov. 6 ballot.
