Ballots are in the mail
Ballots for the Nov. 6 general election went out in the mail today from the mail processing center in Springfield and should begin arriving in Douglas County mailboxes by Saturday.
A total of 61,437 ballots were delivered to the processing center, Douglas County Clerk Patty Hitt said. Last month, 398 ballots were sent to voters temporarily out of state and 332 were mailed to military personnel and others who were out of the country.
Registered voters who do not receive their ballot by Oct. 23 should call the county Elections Office at 541-440-4252.
