ROSEBURG: Merchandise stolen from Macy’s

ROSEBURG Merchandise stolen from Macy’s A Roseburg Macy’s employee was arrested Thursday on suspicion of stealing $1,500 worth of merchandise and cash from the store over a period of eight months, according to the Roseburg Police Department. Kristy Lee Wheaton, 29, of Roseburg was charged with first-degree theft and a probation violation. She was lodged at the Douglas County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. Macy’s reported it suspected Wheaton started stealing cash and a variety of merchandise from the store in February, police Sgt. Jeff Eichenbusch said. …
