ROSEBURG Man grabs stick to stop attack on woman A good Samaritan brandished a stick Friday evening to stop an attack by a man on a woman in downtown Roseburg, according to Roseburg police. Three men passing a parking lot in the area of Southeast Oak Avenue and Parrott Street heard a man and woman arguing. They stepped in after the man threw something at the woman and hit her in the back of the head, police said.
