On Nov. 6, the patrons of Glide Rural Fire Protection District will vote on a bond to build a new fire station. The district’s board of directors and officers have listened to the community by reducing the size of the station from 16,000 square feet to 11,060, and by reducing the bond from $3.85 million to $2.5 million for a 50-year building. The bond’s estimated cost is $57 per $100,000 of tax assessed value, or $84 a year for an average home.
