Douglas County has been awarded $66,520 in federal funds to respond to terrorism. The county was one of 21 in Oregon to receive awards from a Federal Emergency Management Agency program administered by the Oregon Office of Emergency Management. A total of $1.4 million was awarded through the program. The largest portion of the Douglas County grant, $40,000, will go toward joint emergency planning by Douglas and Coos counties, said Wayne Stinson, Douglas County’s emergency manager.
