Seniors measure Social Security benefits against their expenses

Social Security may be keeping up with inflation, but it isn’t staying even with their living expenses, some senior citizens said Monday at the Roseburg Senior Center. Bingo was the main afternoon attraction at the center, while health insurance, gas and food were primary topics when it came to discussing whether Social Security adjustments truly reflect increases in the cost of living. “The cost of groceries is atrocious and gas, oh my.
