ROSEBURG Student-run store opens kitchen A student-run store on Cass Avenue now has a commercial kitchen for entrepreneurs to make goods for sale. The kitchen is in the Umpqua Local Goods Store at the historic Grand Hotel, 736 S.E. Cass Ave. The store is a partnership between NeighborWorks Umpqua and Phoenix Charter School. The kitchen will be available to create, test and market products such as jams, sauces and baked goods. Tenants can rent the kitchen by the hour, for a single use or for regular use over a period of time. Rates start at $15 an hour, with a …
