Douglas County suffered from difficult times in 1987. The lumber business was declining, there was a gas crunch, businesses were closing and folks were out of work. Women in the community needed hope and couldn’t afford to travel out of the area to attend an inspirational conference. A group of compassionate Christian women began to pray and G.R.A.C.E. (Greater Roseburg Area Committee for Evangelism) Ministries was born. Twenty-five years later, G.R.A.C.E. Ministries continues to provide an annual interdenominational Christian women’s conference for the women in the community. From the beginning, G.R.A.C.E.
