The Oregon Medical Association recognized Roseburg pediatrician Bob Dannenhoffer for his commitment to patient safety at its Political Fall Forum in Portland last month. Dannenhoffer received the third annual Dr. George E. Miller Patient Safety Award. The award is named for another pediatrician, who was appointed by Gov. Ted Kulongoski to the Oregon Patient Safety Commission when it formed in 2004. Miller, a former medical director at Salem Hospital, died in 2007.
