The Douglas County Housing and Homeless Coalition on Thursday will begin opening warming centers in Roseburg and Sutherlin on nights when the temperature dips below 31 degrees. Organizers are looking for a place in Riddle to shelter the homeless on cold nights. Park Street Community Church in Riddle had planned to operate a center but canceled. Anyone who can make available a church or other community space for a warming center is asked to contact Douglas County Housing and Homeless Coalition resource developer Ian Smith at 541-492-3930.
