Myrtle Creek volunteers plant daffodils at city’s entrance

MYRTLE CREEK — A little girl’s purple raincoat foreshadowed the burst of color that’s coming in the spring to a grassy bluff at the town’s north entrance. Eralyn Reed, 5, was dressed for Oregon weather Saturday as she helped her grandfather, Gerald Reed, and other residents plant hundreds of daffodil bulbs on the slice of county ground. “They kind of look like tomatoes,” said Eralyn, as she concentrated on her work.
