Paulette Jones is your typical small business owner. From the time she opens her Myrtle Creek doughnut shop each morning to the time she flips the “Closed” sign around in the evening, she wonders how much longer she can make it. According to the Bureau of Labor statistics, fewer than half of small businesses make it past four years. When she opened The Happy Donut in 2008, Jones had five employees.
