EUGENE — The Roseburg girls basketball team opened its season on an impressive note Thursday night, rolling to a 71-50 nonleague win over North Eugene. Junior Pele Gianotti, a transfer from Class 2A Riddle, made a good debut for Roseburg with a game-high 20 points and added eight rebounds. Shelby Snook finished with 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists, Jaclyn Humphry and sophomore Ashley Backen 12 points apiece and Fiona Johnson eight assists.
