A 55-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday morning after witnesses told police she slapped another woman across the face in a tavern, Roseburg police said. Patricia Leann Hurts, who police said is a transient, was barred from the C&M Tavern in the 800 block of Southeast Cass Avenue on Monday. She returned to the tavern at around 11 a.m. Tuesday. A 65-year-woman called 911 to summon police and was allegedly slapped by Hurts, police said. A patron tackled Hurts and detained her until officers arrived, police said.
