WINSTON — A Roseburg police dog helped the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team arrest a 31-year-old Winston man Thursday evening who had been wanted for more than a year on suspicion of violating parole and drug charges, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Jeff Alan Lavrar was arrested around 5 p.m. Thursday after a short foot chase into woods near his home in the 2900 block of Kent Creek Road south of Winston.
