A block of Southeast Cass Avenue in downtown Roseburg was transformed to celebrate the holiday spirit Thursday through the efforts of Phoenix Charter School students. The students helped plan and organize a block party centered around the Umpqua Local Goods store, which Phoenix runs in partnership with NeighborWorks Umpqua. Gingerbread houses made by students were displayed inside the store, along with jewelry and other products created by Douglas County residents.
