On Nov. 8, a group of six of my co-workers and some friends made the three-hour jaunt to Portland to listen to Bill McKibben speak about global warming. Ordinarily, I wouldn’t drive three hours after a busy work day for this type of event, but Desmond Tutu was on the agenda, and he is one of my heroes.
