ROSEBURG: Shooting suspect granted new counsel

A Roseburg woman accused of shooting her partner during a domestic dispute was granted a new lawyer Thursday at her request. At a hearing in Douglas County Circuit Court, the court-appointed attorney for Linda Anne Bond agreed with the motion, saying “a conflict has developed that makes representing her impossible.” “The attorney-client relationship has deteriorated beyond repair,” said Daniel Bouck, director of the Umpqua Valley Public Defender’s Office. Bouck said further explanation would violate his duty of confidentiality. Bond, 58, is charged with attempted murder, among other charges.
