Before he surrendered to police after a four-hour standoff Monday, suspected motel shooter Jonathan Lackey told police he was “going to prison for (the) rest of his life,” according to court records. Lackey, 23, is accused of shooting at officers who came to question him at the Casa Loma Motel in Roseburg about the death of his grandfather, Richard Casebeer, 71. Casebeer’s burned body was found Monday morning inside his Roseburg home at 437 S.E. Ramp St. following a house fire.
