Editorial: Time for Oregon Republican Party to change directions

Oregon Republicans have a chance in February to start changing the direction of their party when they elect a new chairman. Right now, the party is heading south. No Republican holds a state-level office. Six of Oregon’s seven federal lawmakers, including both senators, are Democrats. Democrats control the state House and state Senate. Oregon hasn’t voted for the Republican presidential nominee since 1984. Etc., etc. From the Republican standpoint, something is wrong.
