There was a time in my past and in our nation’s past when someone said “The Four Chaplains” and everyone knew immediately who and what you were talking about. The Four Chaplains (also called the Immortal Chaplains) were in my childhood, heroes of gigantic stature. Sadly this knowledge has faded and mostly gone in the memories of most of America’s citizens.
