A man charged with trying to murder five officers in a shootout at a Roseburg motel faces an additional charge of possessing a weapon while an inmate in the Douglas County Jail. Jonathan Derrick Lackey, 23, was cited on Jan. 4 on suspicion of weapon possession. Three days later, he was arraigned on the weapons charge, a class A felony, and assigned a public defender.
